The $70 million project replaced the former UM Laurel Medical Center at the same location, according to Patch. The 83,000-square-foot center will house a full emergency department and offer outpatient services including minimally invasive surgery, cardiology and behavioral health.

Representatives of the center told Patch the new facility is the first part of a multiphase, comprehensive medical campus to expand services to residents in the surrounding Prince George’s, Anne Arundel, Howard and Montgomery counties.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
