Saratoga Hospital looks to demolish medical office building, construct new facility

Saratoga Springs, N.Y.-based Saratoga Hospital is seeking approval to demolish a 10,200-square-foot medical office building that previously housed OB/GYN and pulmonary care services, according to a July 10 report from the Albany Business Review.

The building would be replaced with a new 60,000-square-foot medical office building proposed by the system that would house primary care physicians, specialists, care coordinators, social workers, pharmacists and dietitians, all focused on the aging population.

The new plan replaces a previous proposal to construct a 75,000-square-foot medical office building. That plan was put on hold after facing lawsuits and opposition from local residents.

The hospital system originally purchased the property in 2022 for $2.1 million, according to the report.
