New ASC Development

New details have emerged regarding an ASC under construction in Amherst, N.Y., through a joint partnership with UBMD Physicians' Group and Kaleida Health, both based in Buffalo, N.Y.,  NBC affiliate WGRZ reported Jan. 31.

Chapel Hill-based University of North Carolina Health plans to add eight to 10 medical office buildings on its Eastowne campus, which opened in March 2021, according to a Jan. 30 report from chapelboro.com. 

The Mackinac Straits Health System in St. Ignace, Mich., plans to add a 20,000-square-foot medical office building to its facilities, according to a Jan. 27 report from the Petoskey News-Review. 

Greater Commercial Lending, an investment company that provides loans to companies in rural communities, landed $80 million in government-guaranteed funding to build a medical center in Zachary, La.

Jefferson City, Mo.-based Capital Region Medical Center held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its new ASC Jan. 19, the News Tribune reported Jan. 20.

Goshen (Ind.) Health has opened its new Goshen Physicians Family Medicine office inside North Webster (Ind.) Community Center, Ink Free News reported Jan. 17. 

Charlotte, N.C.-based Atrium Health has partnered with Wake Forest University to break ground on the first medical school in the city of Charlotte, according to a Jan. 17 report from NPR affiliate WFAE.
