Here are 30 ASCs that have opened, gained approval or announced plans to open that Becker's reported on in the first quarter of 2024:

Bon Secours Mercy Health and Compass Surgical Partners' joint venture surgery center will open April 11 in Greenville, S.C.

Sacramento, Calif.-based Sutter Health is set to break ground on a five-story, 129,000-square-foot medical office building that will cost the system an estimated $442 million, according to an April 4 report from the San Francisco Chronicle. 

Texas County Memorial Hospital in Houston, Mo., opened a surgical center after 18 years of planning and work, according to an April 2 report by Houston Herald.

A new ASC is coming to Foley, Ala., near South Baldwin Regional Medical Center, which is launching a $250 million expansion project. 

Remedy Medical Properties and Kayne Anderson Real Estate have broken ground on a 130,000-square-foot medical office building in Lynchburg, Va., according to an April 3 report from REBusiness Online. 

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center and city officials from Powell, Ohio, celebrated the start of construction on an $183 million outpatient facility.

A three-story medical office building is set to open in Spring, Texas, in May, according to a March 28 report from the Houston Business Journal.
