New ASC Development

Here are nine ASC developments worth more than $10 million:

Schenectady, N.Y.-based Ellis Medicine is planning a 62,100-square-foot addition to its Medical Center of Clifton Park (N.Y.), Albany Business Review reports.

The Medical Towers at Bee Cave (Texas) — a 23,000-square-foot specialty medical office building — held a grand opening Sept. 26. 

The Providence Breeze Advanced Care Center, which will feature an ASC, recently opened in Torrance, Calif. 

  The Maryland Health Care Commission approved Laurel (Md.) Regional Hospital's certificate of need exemption request to build a 75,000-square-foot medical center on the hospital's campus, The Baltimore Sun reported.

The Hawaii State Health Planning and Development Agency denied Kahului, Hawaii-based Maui Spine and Laser Institute's certificate of need to establish an ASC.

West Reading, Pa.-based Tower Health will expand its ASC network through a joint venture with Addison, Texas-based United Surgical Partners International, WFMZ-TV 69 News reports.

Lancaster (Pa.) NeuroScience & Spine Associates sold two Lancaster-based buildings housing offices and an outpatient surgery center for $13.5 million, PennLive reported.

Addison, Texas-based United Surgical Partners International secured a $23.46 million loan to build a surgery center in West Palm Beach, Fla., South Florida Business Journal reports. 

Austin-based Texas Orthopedics expanded Texas Orthopedics Surgery Center in Northwest Austin, Community Impact Newspaper reports.
