New ASC Development

Steamboat Orthopaedic and Spine Institute in Steamboat Springs, Colo., expects to open its clinic and ASC June 29.

Pueblo, Colo.-based Parkview Medical Center has plans for a new orthopedic facility, according to The Pueblo Chieftain.

Six hospitals and health systems opened or announced plans for new surgery centers in May:

Bourbon County, Kan., is working to secure a number of leases in the former Mercy Hospital site in Fort Scott, Kan., to convert the site into a medical mall, Fort Scott Biz reports.

Chattanooga, Tenn.-based developers plan to build a pair of medical office buildings, and one of the buildings will feature a surgery center, the Chattanooga Times Free Press reports.

Jefferson City, Tenn.-based Jefferson Memorial Hospital is working with Morristown, Tenn.-based physicians on plans to build a multispecialty ASC, the Citizen Tribune reports.

Construction on Clermont, Fla.-based Orlando Health South Lake Hospital Center for Specialty Surgery was recently completed, according to G3 Development, a company that worked on the project.

Lincoln, Neb., city officials on June 8 unanimously agreed to sell a piece of land to a group of local neurosurgeons who want to build a surgery center and medical office building, the Lincoln Journal Star reports.

University of Maryland Shore Medical Campus at Cambridge plans to open its new medical campus with a surgery center in late 2021, Dorchester Star reports.

Allentown, Pa.-based Lehigh Valley Health Network opened an outpatient center in Lehighton, Pa., to offer imaging, laboratory and radiology services in the community, tnonline.com reports.
