New ASC Development

The city of Chicago is giving Chicago-based Sinai Health System $7 million to construct an ASC in North Lawndale, a city neighborhood, Crain's Chicago Business reports.

The newly opened Center for Advanced Healthcare at Brownwood in The Villages, Fla., will eventually include an ASC, according to The Villages Daily Sun.

Two de novo ASCs are being developed in Michigan, according to Adam Warda, vice president of finance for Smithfield Surgical Partners, a healthcare management and development company.

Froedtert Pleasant Prairie (Wis.) Hospital's surgery center expansion is open, according to SidePlate Systems, a civil engineering firm involved in the project.

Rochester (N.Y.) Regional Health is building a medical center in Geneseo, N.Y., according to Genesseesun.com.

Steamboat Orthopaedic and Spine Institute in Steamboat Springs, Colo., expects to open its clinic and ASC June 29.

Pueblo, Colo.-based Parkview Medical Center has plans for a new orthopedic facility, according to The Pueblo Chieftain.
