New ASC Development

Becker's has reported on four joint-venture ASC deals in the last 30 days, including two partially owned by Minneapolis-based Allina Health.

The five most expensive ASC projects opened or announced this year total $1.43 billion. 

The Frantz EyeCare and Frantz Cosmetic Center, which is also the future site of an ASC, has been completed in Fort Myers, Fla., Naple News reported June 11.

Minneapolis-based Allina Health opened a joint-venture ASC in Minneapolis, REBusinessOnline reported June 14.

Atlanta-based Northside Hospital system is adding an ASC with its expansion in Snellville, Ga., the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported June 14.

Texas, one of Medscape's best states for physicians to practice, has announced the opening or plans to open seven ASCs since Jan. 1.
