New ASC Development

The University of Mississippi Medical Center has asked the state's permission to build a nearly $64.5 million campus with an ASC in Ridgeland, Miss., local NBC affiliate WLBT reported March 29.

The Digestive and Liver Center of Florida opened a second surgical center in Orlando March 28, according to Orlando Medical News.

Oklahoma City-based Naadi Healthcare is one step closer to realizing its plans for an ASC in Lewiston, Idaho, The Lewiston Tribune reported March 29.

Capital Health is converting a former bariatric ASC in Langhorne, Pa., into a multispecialty surgical hospital, according to a March 26 LevittownNow.com report. 

Mount Nittany Health has received conditional approval from Patton Township supervisors to develop a four-story outpatient medical center in State College, Pa., Centre Daily Times reported March 24.

Dickson (Tenn.) Medical Associates is planning an ASC in Dickson, in the middle of a 130-mile stretch of highway between Nashville and Jackson, Tenn., with no ASCs.

Dakota Dunes, S.D.-based Center for Neurosciences, Orthopaedics & Spine opened a new clinic in South Sioux City, Neb., CBS affiliate Siouxland News reported March 22.

Baptist Memorial Health Care, the Jackson Clinic and Rendina Healthcare Real Estate broke ground on an outpatient campus and medical office building in Jackson, Tenn., Rendina said March 23. 

The Health Center at Pennsburg (Pa.), operated by Allentown, Pa.-based Lehigh Valley Health Network, is now open, the Sanatoga Post reported March 23.
