Oswego Health Medical Practice is adding orthopedic and general surgery services to its Clay, N.Y., location, expanding beyond the primary care services it launched there earlier this year.

The move is the second phase of Oswego Health’s investment in northern Onondaga County, following the March 2 opening of Clay PrimeCare in Baldwinsville. Patients will now have regularly scheduled office hours with board-certified orthopedic and general surgery providers at the Clay site, giving them access to specialized care without traveling to Oswego Health’s other locations.

Oswego Health Medical Practice plans to add more specialty services in Clay later this fall, continuing its buildout beyond primary care in the community.

Oswego Health Medical Practice is a nonprofit, multi-specialty group that has served Central New York for more than a century, with more than 100 physicians, advanced practice providers and caregivers offering primary care, bariatrics, cardiology, ENT, gastroenterology, general surgery, orthopedics, pulmonology and urology across the region.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
