Canton, Ohio-based Omni Orthopaedics plans to build a surgery center in 2019 in Jackson Township, Ohio, TheSuburbanite.com reports.

What you should know:

1. A township commissioner said the surgery center could cost up to $12M.

2. Omni could break ground on the center this year.

3. The group announced the surgery center on its website, branding it the Oasis Surgery Center — an abbreviation for Orthopaedic Ambulatory Surgical Intervention Services.

4. Omni provides an array of orthopedic services including total joint replacement, sports medicine and general orthopedic services.
