NYU Langone Health has opened NYU Langone Ambulatory Care Patchogue (N.Y.), a 54,000-square-foot outpatient facility, expanding surgical and specialty access for patients across Suffolk County.
The center sits at the site of the former Burlington Coat Factory, and extends surgical services from nearby NYU Langone Hospital—Suffolk into the community, according to a July 13 news release. Surgeons from that hospital perform procedures in six operating rooms alongside multispecialty physician practices. Surgical specialties include general surgery, urology, orthopedics, hand surgery, podiatry, plastic surgery, gynecology and pain management.
The opening follows NYU Langone’s June 2 announcement of plans for an academic medical center in Melville, N.Y., and precedes an ambulatory surgery center opening in Manhasset later this year.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
