Charlotte, N.C.-based Novant Health has broken ground April 2 on a medical office building that will offer a range of specialty services, Bluffton Today reported April 21.
Novant Health Bluffton (S.C.) Health Place will be located next to the Novant Health Bluffton Emergency Department, another recent development from the health system. The 40,000-square-foot medical office building will offer primary care, cardiology, gastroenterology and a multi-specialty ASC. Additional space can also be allocated to accommodate future growth.
The developments mark Novant’s first groundbreaking ceremonies in the state, according to the report. The project will be constructed alongside the ongoing development of Novant Health Bluffton Medical Center, a 50-bed acute care hospital located less than half a mile away from the new facilities. An orthopedic-focused ASC is also planned for future Novant development in South Carolina.
