Nexus Health breaks ground on outpatient medical office building

On March 31, physician-owned specialty group Nexus Health broke ground on a three-story, 95,000-square-foot outpatient specialty medical office building in Santa Fe, N.M., according to an April 10 report from The Santa Fe New Mexican.

The building will be able to hold 30 to 35 physician specialists and is expected to open in July 2024.

Nexus Health was established a year ago by four orthopedic surgeons and eight physicians from New Mexico Cancer Care Associates seeking to “strip away the red tape” from physician visits, according to the report.

Nexus wants to continue expanding, recruiting urology, gynecology, radiology, gastroenterology, cardiology, pulmonology, physical therapy, nephrology, neurosurgery and gynecologic oncology specialists.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
