MUSC plans to transform shopping mall into medical campus with ASC — 3 highlights

Charleston-based Medical University of South Carolina plans to open an ASC in a former mall, Live 5 News reports.

What you should know:

1. Renamed the Epic Center, the former mall in Charleston will house MUSC West.

2. In addition to an ASC, MUSC West will offer services including pain management, pediatric care, neurology and dermatology. It will also feature lab services and a spine center.

3. The campus is expected to open in late 2019.
