Three key details:
1. St. Patrick is embarking on the project after three years of analyzing data, demographics and healthcare trends.
2. The hospital broke ground on Sept. 17, but construction won’t formally begin until Nov. 1. It’s expected to wrap up by 2023.
3. Along with an ASC, the six-story, 120,000-square-foot building will house St. Patrick’s International Heart Institute, neurosciences program and internal medicine clinics. Moving the heart institute to the new building will give St. Patrick room to expand its family maternity center. Three floors will be devoted to parking.
