Miami Heat, Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute partner to build ASC

Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine and the Miami Heat basketball team broke ground on the Coral Gables, Fla.-based Miami Heat Sports Medicine Center.

Here are the key details to know about the new center:

1. The four-story, 49,000-square-foot building will include an ASC on the top floor.

2. The center is scheduled to open in the summer of 2019.

3. A donation from the Miami Heat will fund the programs and services offered at the Miami Heat Sports Medicine Center.
