Massachusetts joint venture plans to build ASC on former Lawrence Memorial Hospital Campus — 4 details

Medford (Mass.) Surgery Center plans to construct a freestanding ASC on the former Lawrence Memorial Hospital campus in Medford.

Here’s what you should know:

1. The project is expected to cost $14,675,550.

2. The ASC would include three operating rooms and two procedure rooms.

3. Medford Surgery Center filed a determination of need application June 11, and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health held a hearing about the application Aug. 22.

4. Medford Surgery Center is a newly formed joint venture by Quincy, Mass.-based Shields ASC, Melrose, Mass.-based MelroseWakefield Healthcare and Boston-based Tufts Medical Center Physician Organization.
