Mass General Brigham and Regent Surgical submitted an application to build a standalone ASC in Cambridge, Mass.
The project is projected to cost about $7.4 million and have three operating rooms.
Massachusetts has the fourth fewest ASCs per capita in the U.S., according to a Determination of Need application the companies filed with the state’s department of health Oct. 1.
