Touro, a nonprofit hospital in New Orleans, opened a renovation that doubles the size of its outpatient surgery center, according to an Aug. 27 report from Biz New Orleans.
The facility now includes six operating rooms and 15 pre- and post-operative bays, and offers procedures across 12 specialties, including gastroenterology, orthopedics and vascular care.
The hospital invested $7.5 million in the renovation, which also includes upgraded technology for specialized and minimally invasive procedures.
Touro is part of New Orleans-based LCMC Health.
