Here’s what you should know:
1. Andover Ambulatory Surgery Center will have six operating rooms.
2. The hospital is building the center to accommodate community demand.
3. Kansas Medical Center CIO Malik Idbeis said, “We’ve seen the demand for outpatient services expand recently, while inpatient procedures have also grown, but at a slower rate.”
4. Approximately 16 to 20 employees will be hired to staff the center.
5. The hospital will begin construction in the third quarter of 2018. It’s believed the center will take nine months to build.
