Salt Lake City-based Intermountain Health opened a specialty clinic and cancer center in Saratoga Springs, Utah. The site serves residents of Saratoga Springs, Eagle Mountain, West Lehi and nearby communities.
The 48,000-square-foot building sits on Intermountain’s existing Saratoga Springs campus, which already has emergency services and a surgery center. According to the Lehi Free Press, the facility opened to patients Monday.
The specialty clinic offers cardiology, gastroenterology, orthopedics and sports medicine, women’s health and pediatrics. The cancer center provides medical and radiation oncology, infusion therapy, survivorship support and advanced radiation treatment.
Intermountain built the campus so patients travel less and providers can coordinate care more easily.
Jason Wilson, president of Intermountain Health American Fork Hospital, called the area “one of Utah’s fastest-growing areas.”
Dr. Tawnya Bowles, senior medical director for oncology at Intermountain Health, said being close to home matters for patients going through cancer treatment.
Lyndsey Russell, market vice president of Medical Group operations at Intermountain, said putting the services in one building helps providers work together and lets patients get their care in one place.
The campus now offers emergency, surgical, specialty and cancer care at one site.
