Canton, Ill.-based Graham Health System has broken ground on a $5.1 million ASC in Galesburg, Ill., according to a July 24 news report from WGIL.

The ASC will house two operating rooms and 15 pre- and post-surgical bays. Outpatient services that will be provided at the center include general surgery, GI, OB/GYN, pain management, ENT, urology, family planning, vascular and podiatry.

The facility aims to replace many of the services that have not been available in the Galesburg since the closing of Cottage Hospital in 2022. Since 2013, there has been a 65% drop in outpatient procedures in the area.

The health system projects for more than 1,900 procedures to be performed at the center in its first year. The ASC is expected to open by September 2026, the report said.

At the Becker's 23rd Annual Spine, Orthopedic and Pain Management-Driven ASC + The Future of Spine Conference, taking place June 11-13 in Chicago, spine surgeons, orthopedic leaders and ASC executives will come together to explore minimally invasive techniques, ASC growth strategies and innovations shaping the future of outpatient spine care.
