Georgia community getting its 1st ASC

Eye MD Surgery Center has been approved to open in Bethlehem, Ga., as Barrow County’s first ASC, Barrow News-Journal reported May 11.

Georgia’s Department of Community Health approved the ASC for one operating room, the report said. It will offer cataract, glaucoma, cornea and eyelid surgery, with retinal surgery and corneal transplantation planned as future offerings.
