Geisinger building $180M orthopedic center

Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger Health Systems is developing a $180 million orthopedic center.

The Orthopaedic Center Pennsylvania in Buckhorn will have 96 exam rooms, a full imaging center and an inpatient unit for postoperative recovery, according to a May 27 news release from Geisinger.

The health system also renovated and expanded an office building across the street from where the orthopedic center will be to create a Geisinger 65 Forward Health Center and convenient care clinic for $10 million.

The orthopedic center is expected to open in 2024.
