What you should know:
1. The center will house Beebe’s robotic surgery unit and its women and infant unit.
2. Beebe plans to open the center in 2022.
3. The center is the last piece of a $200 million expansion.
Beebe board chairman Dave Herbert commented on the surgery center’s coming technological upgrades, saying, “The difference between some of these minimally invasive surgeries and the older surgeries — the older technology can mean the difference of eight days in the hospital, and so it makes a big difference to the quality of life of people.”
