CoxHealth and St. Louis Children’s Hospital have finalized a partnership agreement to expand pediatric care in Missouri.

Part of the initiative includes constructing a standalone outpatient center that will include ambulatory surgery and pediatric specialty care clinics, imaging, laboratory services and infusion, according to a June 12 news release from CoxHealth.

The center will be located in Springfield, Mo., with an expected opening in 2027.

Both organizations signed a letter of intent in May 2024.

St. Louis Children’s Hospital is part of BJC Health System, the release said.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
