Construction has begun on a $50 million medical complex in Latham, N.Y., NBC-affiliate WNYT reported June 29,
BBL Medical Facilities is building the two-story, 50,000-square-foot facility with design by HCP Architects, according to the report. The complex will house a multispecialty ASC with four operating rooms, orthopedic urgent care from Capital Region Orthopedics and ophthalmology services from Saratoga Ophthalmology.
Representatives from the Town of Colonie, Albany County and Columbia Development Companies joined physicians and healthcare leaders at the groundbreaking ceremony.
The complex adds surgical infrastructure to the growing Wellness Way campus, a multispecialty medical hub serving the Albany, N.Y., area and broader region.
