BGO acquired a 100% leased, 11-property portfolio of ASCs totaling approximately 223,000 square feet across nine U.S. markets.

The real estate investment manager acquired the portfolio from a joint venture of Flagship Healthcare Properties and AEW Capital Management on behalf of its U.S. Core Strategy, according to a Sept. 30 news release from BGO.

The portfolio spans Dallas-Fort Worth, Chicago, St. Louis, Nashville, Tenn., Lakeland-Winter Haven, Fla., Columbia, S.C., Huntsville, Ala., Kalamazoo-Portage, Mich. and Prescott, Ariz. Specialties represented across the facilities include ophthalmology, orthopedics, gastroenterology, ENT, podiatry, plastic and reconstructive surgery, pain management, urology and endoscopy.

Flagship Healthcare Properties will continue to provide third-party property management services across all 11 properties, the release said.

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
