5 things to know about LA’s new 'Healthcare City' outpatient center

A new facility dubbed "Allied Healthcare City" is expected to open by the end of the summer in the Chinatown area in Los Angeles,Los Angeles Downtown News reported.

Here are five details to know:

1. Allied Healthcare City will include an ambulatory center, urgent care services and a multispecialty clinic.

2. The facility will be built in three phases, with the urgent care center completed first, followed by the multispecialty clinic, surgical center and the establishment of a new hospital.

3. The first phase of construction is expected to be completed by the end of summer.

4. The site, previously known as Pacific Alliance Medical Center, was purchased by Allied Pacific IPA, AHMC Healthcare and Network Medical Management for $33 million after it closed at the end of 2017.

5. The center will employ between 15 and 20 people, and will be open 12 hours initially, with plans to extend to 24 hours.
