Vail (Colo.) Valley Surgery Center. The ASC added a new administrator, Michael Westmiller, earlier this year. Mr. Westmiller most recently worked at Surgery Center of Southern Oregon in Medford, which he left in January. The center is a joint venture between the Vail Valley Medical Center and approximately 25 physician-investors. It is accredited by AAAHC. It was opened in 2002 and offers surgical services in orthopedics, pain management and gastroenterology.
Polaris Spine & Neurosurgery’s ASC (Atlanta). The surgery center opened recently and includes eight new, full-time staff members. The center is a part of Polaris Spine & Neurosurgery, established in 1979. The practice includes six physicians, offering care for a number of conditions including head and spine trauma, cerebrovascular disorders, chronic low back pain and brain and spinal tumors.
