Aaron Prussin, MD, has been named chief medical ambulatory officer at Salt Lake City-based University of Utah Health Hospitals & Clinics, effective immediately.
Dr. Prussin had served as interim chief medical ambulatory officer since August 2024, according to a May 22 health system news release. In the role, he provides physician leadership for the health system’s ambulatory enterprise and oversees physician leadership for ambulatory services across ambulatory sites.
Dr. Prussin joined University of Utah Health in 2015 as a faculty member in the department of otolaryngology – head and neck surgery. He currently serves as associate professor and previously held leadership roles including executive medical director for the Farmington (Utah) Health Center, North service delivery area, Sugar House Health Center in Salt Lake City and Central service delivery area.
Before joining University of Utah Health, Dr. Prussin founded and practiced for 20 years at New River Valley Ear, Nose, and Throat Associates in Virginia.
