Here’s what you should know:
1. Mr. Sutaria will become COO Jan. 6, 2019. He will directly oversee Tenet’s hospital operations — including hospital-affiliated outpatient centers — and report to Tenet Executive Chairman and CEO Ron Rittenmeyer.
2. Mr. Sutaria previously served as a senior partner at McKinsey & Company, where he worked for 18 years.
3. President of Hospital Operations Eric Evans joined Tenet in 2004. Tenet is eliminating his position to create a “flatter organization,” Mr. Rittenmeyer said.
