Here’s what you should know:
1. Dr. Barnes will serve on the company’s executive management team. He will provide strategic guidance concerning STARR’s medical affairs, professional affairs and product development pathways.
2. He will also lead the company’s surgeon training and certification program as well as the surgeon working groups.
3. Dr. Barnes served as chief of ophthalmology services at Fort Bragg, N.C.-based Womack Army Medical Center since 2012. He began working at Womack in 2004.
