Regent names next CEO

Travis Messina has been named CEO and appointed to the board of Franklin, Tenn.-based Regent Surgical Health, effective Aug. 14.

Mr. Messina most recently served as CEO and founder of Nashville-based Contessa Health, an acute home-based care program, according to an Aug. 14 news release from Regent.

Mr. Messina succeeds Joe Clark, who served as interim CEO and executive chairman, according to the release. Mr. Clark will continue to serve in his role on the board of directors. 

Regent is the largest independent health system joint venture-focused operator of ASCs in the U.S.
