Patients who had surgery in ASC would recommend facilities, survey says

Patients who have surgeries in ASCs would recommend the facilities to family and friends, according to a survey conducted for the New Jersey Association of Ambulatory Surgery Centers.

SPH Analytics surveyed 36,000 former patients to get their opinion on New Jersey ASCs and the care they received.

What you should know:

1. Exactly 89.76 percent of respondents strongly agreed that they would recommend a New Jersey ASC to their family or friends. About 9.26 percent agreed and 0.98 percent disagreed or strongly disagreed.

2. Ninety-three percent of respondents rated their care as a nine or 10 on a 10-point scale.

"SPH Analytics' data demonstrates that New Jersey ASCs are providing high-quality care and a valuable service to the patients and communities they serve," said NJAASC President Jeff Shanton.
