Medical Facilities Corp. names Robert Horrar COO: 4 points

Medical Facilities Corp. appointed Robert Horrar COO, according to Markets Insider.

Here are four points:

1. With more than 25 years of health plan and hospital operations experience, Mr. Horrar comes to MFC after serving in various executive roles at Franklin, Tenn.-based Community Heath Systems.

2. Joining Community Health Systems in 1998, Mr. Horrar served as vice president of business development and then later division president. As division president, Mr. Horrar oversaw hospital operations in Indiana, Tennessee and West Virginia.

3. He was with Humana for more than a decade, taking on positions such as executive director of Nevada opertions.

4. MFC controls and operates one California ASC as well as five specialty surgical hospitals.

“MFC has some of the best healthcare facilities in the country and I look forward to working with our local leadership teams to optimize performance and increase market presence as well as forging close ties with our payer stakeholders,” said Mr. Horrar.
