Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare has named Michael Schlosser, MD, as chief clinical officer and executive vice president, and Charles Gressle as president of the company’s new Ambulatory Operations Group.
In the new role, Dr. Schlosser will assume responsibility for the company’s clinical services group and will continue leading HCA Healthcare’s digital transformation and innovation organization, according to an Aug. 6 news release from HCA Healthcare.
Dr. Schlosser had previously been serving as senior vice president and chief transformation officer. He will succeed Michael Cuffe, MD, as chief clinical officer.
As president of HCA’s Ambulatory Operations Group, Mr. Gressle will be responsible for HCA Healthcare’s Physician Services Group and will oversee the company’s Surgery Ventures Group, which includes more than 2,700 facilities and clinics. The new ambulatory group is designed to support integration across the company’s ambulatory network and improve coordination in support of patients and physicians.
Mr. Gressle had been serving as president of HCA Healthcare’s East Florida Division.
Both appointments are effective Sept. 1, the release said.
