Former McKesson VP named CMO of data platform company Innovaccer — 6 notes

David Nace, MD, is charged with driving healthcare efficiency through leveraging data as the new CMO of Innovaccer. 

Here are six things to know.

1. Dr. Nace has more than 30 years of experience in senior management positions.

2. His prior roles include McKesson Corp. vice president of population health; Patient-Centered Primary Care Collaborative board chairman; UnitedHealth Group senior vice president; and Aetna vice president and CMO.

3. Dr. Nace became an executive adviser to Innovaccer in 2017.

4. As CMO, Dr. Nace is responsible for improving the company's healthcare data platform, InData.

"Data is the key to everything in healthcare. If you don't get your data right, everything else stays unraveled," Dr. Nace said. "Technology should ease the burden of being a [physician] or a nurse, and enable ways for patients, their caregivers and health providers to work together in order to improve health and reduce costs."

5. Dr. Nace served as a board member for the Integrated Healthcare Association and Care Continuum Alliance. He also acted as an adviser to the American Medical Association, National Business Group on Health, WHO and the International Labor Organization.

6. Innovaccer recently launched InData along with population health management platform InGraph and care coordination platform InCare.
