Greenville, S.C.-based ECU Health has named Joe Vichot president of ECU Health SurgiCenter, the health system announced in a July 21 LinkedIn post.
Mr. Vichot succeeds Steve Tripp, who is stepping down after more than four decades of leadership at the ASC and the broader health system.
Mr. Vichot brings more than a decade of experience as a healthcare leader, with a track record of advancing ambulatory surgery operations, strengthening physician partnerships and delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, according to ECU Health.
The leadership change comes as ECU Health SurgiCenter, a multi-specialty ambulatory center staffed by roughly 200 physicians, enters a period of expansion, including new operating rooms and facility modernization. The center performs more than 12,000 outpatient surgical procedures a year.
At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
