Cardinal Health named Nathan Walcker, MBA, president of The Specialty Alliance, the Dublin, Ohio-based company’s physician-led management services organization spanning gastroenterology and urology, effective Aug. 3, 2026.
Mr. Walcker joins from Florida Cancer Specialists & Research Institute, where he served as CEO for five years before McKesson completed its acquisition of a controlling interest in FCS for $2.49 billion in June 2025/

Dr. Weber will continue leading physician practice growth and independent-practice advocacy, while Mr. Walcker will oversee enterprise strategy, operations and business growth, according to the announcement. The Specialty Alliance includes the GI Alliance, which spans more than 900 physicians, and the Urology Alliance, which grew to roughly 750 physicians following Cardinal Health’s $1.9 billion acquisition of Solaris Health in August 2025.
The hire marks Cardinal Health’s second recent MSO leadership pickup from community oncology, following Lalan Wilfong, MD’s April appointment as chief medical officer of Navista, Cardinal Health’s oncology alliance.
