Adamina Podraza, MD, is a board-certified anesthesiologist and medical director of Deerpath Ambulatory Surgical Center in Morris, Ill., where she blends more than two decades of clinical experience with a passion for operational excellence and team-based care.

Dr. Podraza’s leadership style centers on empowerment through education.

“When every team member understands their value, from front desk to recovery, it transforms how care is delivered,” she said.

Her approach has led to systemwide improvements at Deerpath ASC, including innovations in staff cross-training, patient communication and financial transparency.

As medical director, Dr. Podraza has expanded her scope beyond anesthesia to include the strategic and operational oversight of the ASC. She emphasizes continuous learning, collaborative leadership and cultivating a culture where each employee feels recognized and invested in the patient experience.

She currently serves as president of the Illinois Society of Anesthesia and is a delegate for the American Society of Anesthesiologists. Dr. Podraza earned her medical degree from Jagiellonian University Medical College and is affiliated with Morris Hospital and Healthcare Centers. She is also pursuing her Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives designation to further elevate her impact in ambulatory care.
