The American College of Surgeons granted Little Rock-based Arkansas Children's Hospital level 1 designation for its surgical center, Talk Business & Politics reports.
What you should know:
1. ACH is one of 17 U.S. hospitals to have the distinction, as well as the only hospital in Arkansas to earn it.
2. The distinction is valid for three years.
3. The distinction recognizes the surgery center's commitment to quality improvement.
"Verification is a rigorous process and ensures our surgical program meets uncompromising standards," said ACH CMO Greg Sharp, MD.
