Here are nine recent leadership appointments in the ambulatory and surgical space, as reported by Becker’s:
1. Matthew Eggert, DPT, was named vice president of ambulatory operations for Maywood, Ill.-based Loyola Medicine, according to a news release shared with Becker’s.
Mr. Eggert brings nearly two decades of experience at Loyola Medicine, most recently serving as executive director overseeing the system’s musculoskeletal, neurosciences and behavioral health programs, according to the release. He began his career at Loyola as a physical therapist before advancing through roles as clinical coordinator, practice director and executive director.
2. New York City-based Weill Cornell Medicine named Timothy R. Donahue, MD, chair of its Department of Surgery and surgeon-in-chief at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center, effective Sept. 1.
3. Leawood, Kan.-based NueHealth named Daniel Tasset, founder and executive chairman, as CEO, effective following the June 30 retirement of CEO Michael Sheerin. NueHealth also promoted Whitney Courser to chief operating officer and CJ Kadel to chief financial officer. Ms. Courser has been with NueHealth since 2003 and has led development of ASC partnerships, specialty hospital ventures and healthcare real estate deals, including a Mid-Atlantic orthopedic network valued at more than $500 million. Mr. Kadel previously held finance leadership roles at C2FO and PwC.
The company separately appointed Lisa Dutterer as senior vice president to support growth across the Mid-Atlantic region. Ms. Dutterer previously held executive roles at Jefferson Health New Jersey, Samaritan Healthcare & Hospice, St. Luke’s University Health Network and the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
4. Los Angeles-based Cedars-Sinai has named Mia Miller, MD, director of its Division of Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery within the Jim and Eleanor Randall Department of Surgery. Dr. Miller, a neurotologist and skull base surgeon, joined Cedars-Sinai in 2021 and has served as director of neurotology for the health system’s Acoustic Neuroma and Lateral Skull Base Surgery Center. She holds the inaugural LuEllen Margaret Edwards Chair in Otology and Neurotology and has hired the division’s first otolaryngology PhD researcher to help build a hearing regeneration lab.
5. Management services organization U.S. Orthopaedic Partners appointed Dean Brown as regional director of ASC operations. Mr. Brown will oversee ASC operations across the physician-led orthopedic management services organization’s network, supporting performance improvement at existing surgery centers and helping lead new ASC development.

Dr. Woo is a cardiothoracic, cardiovascular and transplant surgeon with Stanford (Calif.) Health Care. He serves as a professor and chair of Stanford’s cardiothoracic surgery program and associate director of the Stanford Cardiovascular Institute.
