6 ASC leadership moves in October

Here are six leadership appointments in the ASC industry since Oct. 2, as reported by Becker’s:

1. UnitedHealth Group’s Optum, parent company of ASC chain SCA Health, named Ben Eklo chief financial officer, effective Nov. 1. He will replace Roger Connor, who was named CFO of Optum in May. 

2. Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare appointed Jacob Wiesmann as divisional CFO at Cambridge, Mass.-based Beth Israel Lahey Health. 

3. Heart Hospital of Austin (Texas), part of St. David’s HealthCare, a subsidiary of HCA, appointed Matthew Bursley CFO. He succeeds Amanda McCann, who recently became CFO of St. David’s Round Rock Medical Center.

4. Hermitage, Tenn.-based TriStar Summit Medical Center, a part of HCA, named Lauren Sligh CFO. 

5. Raleigh, N.C.-based Compass Surgical Partners named John Hammack as chief financial officer.

6. HCA Midwest Health named Lowell Ebersole, DO, chief medical officer of Research Medical Center in Kansas City, Mo.
