3 former Laser Spine Institute leaders join medical device company

Three former leaders of Tampa, Fla.-based Laser Spine Institute joined Medovex Corp., a medical device company that has made a string of appointments since recently installing Bill Horne as CEO.

Four insights:

1. Former LSI Chief Marketing Officer Briley Cienkosz was appointed to the same position at Medovex. Ms. Cienkosz was responsible for LSI's corporate brand, corporate communications and integrated marketing efforts before the organization discontinued operations March 1. She also helped the company launch four ASCs and roll out its first direct-response television campaign.

2. Gary Mancini, LSI's former vice president of spine care services, was named Medovex's chief relationship officer. He was also previously vice chairman of the Southwest Florida Charter School Board.

3. Medovex's new chief operating officer is Ann Miller, who was a director with Laser Spine Institute. In addition, she served as chief operating officer for Advanced Healthcare Partners in Tampa.

4. Medovex looked outside LSI to make a fourth appointment. Jeremy Daniel, who comes from Regenerative Medicine Solutions, will serve as CFO.
