13 hospital, health system CEO appointments in 2 weeks

Here are 13 health system leaders who have taken on CEO roles as reported by Becker’s since Sept. 26:

1. Northside Hospital Forsyth in Cumming, Ga., promoted Lynn Jackson to CEO from chief operating officer.

2. Shantel Krebs was named regional president and CEO of Avera St. Mary’s Hospital in Pierre, S.D. Ms. Krebs had been serving in the regional role on an interim basis since March.

3. Megan Gillespie, DNP, RN, was appointed CEO of Sutter Santa Rosa (Calif.) Regional Hospital. 

4. San Antonio-based Baptist Health System named new CEOs to two hospitals in the area: Terry Treadwell is now CEO of Northeast Baptist Hospital, and Thomas McKinney is CEO of Baptist Medical Center.

5. Phil Wright was appointed CEO of Memorial Regional Hospital South in Hollywood, Fla., part of Memorial Healthcare System. 

6. Michael Charlton was named president and CEO of Atlantic City, N.J.-based AtlantiCare. 

7. Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City, Iowa, named Linn Block, BSN, RN, its CEO. 

8. Dustin Riccio, MD, was selected as the new president and CEO of Paterson, N.J.-based St. Joseph’s Health.

9. Ian Worden was selected as the new interim CEO of Bartlett Regional Hospital in Juneau, Alaska.

10. Brent Burish was named interim CEO of HCA Florida St. Petersburg Hospital, part of Nashville, Tenn.-based HCA Healthcare.

11. Tammy Powers, BSN, RN, was named CEO of Sutter Roseville (Calif.) Medical Center.

12. Joseph Theine was selected to serve as CEO of Southwest Health System in Cortez, Colo.
