Vistar Eye Center selects new CEO

Herbert Pierce has been selected as the new CEO of Vistar Eye Center in Roanoke, Va., according to the Roanoke Star.

In his new role, Mr. Pierce will oversee decisions driving the growth of Vistar’s locations throughout Virginia. He is a certified ophthalmic executive and has over 20 years of management experience. Mr. Pierce is replacing Vistar’s CEO of eight years, Paul Levy, who retired in May.

Previously, Mr. Pierce was CEO of Bennett and Bloom Eye Centers in Kentucky. Before working in healthcare, Mr. Pierce served in the U.S. Air Force.
