Interventional radiologist Warren Krackov, MD, was named medical director of Temple Terrace, Fla.-based Vascular Interventions of Tampa. Here are four highlights:
1. Board certified in diagnostic radiology, Dr. Krackov specializes in minimally invasive treatment for dialysis access management and other vascular conditions.
2. As medical director, Dr. Krackov will expand services at Vascular Interventions of Tampa to include non-surgical treatment for uterine fibroids and varicoceles.
3. Dr. Krackov has pioneered the transradial approach to uterine fibroid embolization in the outpatient setting. This approach uses the radial artery in the wrist as an access point for the procedure.
4. Vascular Interventions of Tampa is a partner of Azura Vascular Care, a network of outpatient vascular and ambulatory surgery centers based in Malvern, Pa.
