Hill Physicians Medical Group — the largest independent physician association in California — reported record revenues for the 2018 calendar year.
Three insights:
1. Hill Physicians' total operating revenues were $516 million. The company's net income was $3.1 million. Year-end results were consistent with expectations.
2. In 2018, Hill Physicians heavily invested in HillChart, which is a spinoff of Epic's EHR. The company also successfully executed a multichannel strategy to grow its membership.
3. Hill Physicians comprises more than 4,000 primary care and specialty physicians.
"We are very pleased with our performance in 2018," said CEO David Joyner. "We continued to make important strides in advancing our strategic initiatives by promoting the delivery of quality healthcare, diversifying our growth channels, expanding technology and continuing to offer innovative, valuable services."
